What's SHIB?

Shiba inu was created in August 2020 by a pseudonymous founder called Ryoshi. As its name suggests, the token is inspired by shiba inu dogs.

Shiba inu is an Ethereum-based ERC-20 token, which means it is created on and hosted by the Ethereum blockchain, rather than its own blockchain.

Ryoshi decided to launch shiba inu on Ethereum because it's "already secure and well-established," according to the shiba inu white paper, or, as its community calls it, "woof paper."

Shiba Inu benefits explaining its popularity not only due to its meme association and its role in the DeFi space. Leveraging the Dogecoin community, Shiba Inu gained an impressive following in a short space of time.

While Shiba Inu could be considered as a dog-themed meme token, it also holds a greater value due to its legitimate use case. The token is the native coin to the platform’s decentralized exchange, ShibaSwap. This ecosystem allows users to swap tokens and earn interest through the three coins, SHIB, BONE and LEASH. These three tokens can be traded on the platform’s ShibaSwap exchange, with the intention being to add more coins in the future: Exploring Shiba Inu - Meme Token or DeFi Star? | The Oobit Blog

It is an ERC-20 token and therefore new coins are created through the Shiba Inu mining process on the Ethereum blockchain (which currently uses a PoW consensus but is transitioning to a PoS mechanism). Thanks almost entirely to the community supporting the token, the rise and rise of SHIB has been fortuitous.

Series Revamp

A 'Charmed' Reboot Is Officially in the Works with One Major Twist

This big twist could be a deal-breaker for us.

A 'Charmed' Reboot Is Officially in the Works with One Major Twist
The WB
The rumors are true!
The CW has officially confirmed to EW that it is actively developing a Charmed reboot. The Aaron Spelling supernatural drama originally aired on The WB between 1998 and 2006. However there is one interesting twist to the reboot that kind of has us scratching our heads out of concern:
According to reports, the reboot will ditch modern day San Francisco and take place in a small New England town in 1976. Say what? So many questions.
Given the new time period the reboot is reportedly going to take place in, we highly doubt original cast members Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, or Rose McGowen will be involved. TVLine has also posted a few unofficial descriptions of the three lead witches which makes the proposed reboot feel even more removed from the original. Behold:
Tina: African American. Whip-smart, Tina is one dissertation (and one dissertation advisor) away from a PhD. She can be reserved, even standoffish, in uncomfortable situations, but she picks up on
everything and she’s definitely making quick, accurate judgments about you.

Paige: Caucasian Cheerful, curvy, wholesome and as all-American as the apple pie she can’t wait to serve to the husband she has yet to marry. Paige’s main goal in life is to marry a rich doctor and be a wife and mother.

Annie: Caucasian. Intense, smart, and quick to anger. She dresses neutrally, though she could give two s–ts if you like her outfit, so stop wondering what “neutral” means. But under that tough façade, well… there is a fragility. A person desperate to be loved, and love.
Charmed was all about "The Power of Three" and the bond of sisterhood, so we have no clue how The CW would even pull off a series without any of the original cast members, let alone one set in the 1970s.
For now, we'll hope for the best and save the judgements for the pilot.
